More than 150 architects and others attended the annual American Institute of Architects’ (AIANH) awards banquet at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in January. Residential projects that received honorable mentions were Stonelea in Dublin by Daniel V. Owain Harris, a cabinetmaker from Deerfield, won the Best in Show award last fall at the 2011 Providence (Rhode Island) Fine Furnishings Show for his piece called Drinks Cabinet. Click here to visit Owain's website.

Mennino Place, the new Concord Area Trust for Community Housing (CATCH) building near the Capitol Center for the Arts, offers affordable, energy-efficient housing for artists. Designed by Warrenstreet Architects and built by Milestone Engineering and Construction, both in Concord, the building was certified LEED Gold and dedicated last November.

Among the more than two hundred people attending the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s January meeting at Company C in Concord were, from left, Cheryl Tufts, president of 3W Design in Concord; Michael T. The Keene Family YMCA celebrated its grand opening in January. Carlisle Wide Plank Floors of Stoddard donated 3,800 square feet of white maple flooring for the facility’s new exercise studio.

In December, nearly two hundred people gathered at Fratello’s Italian Grille in Manchester to help New Hampshire Home celebrate the publication of Mary Ann Esposito’s (left) twelfth cookbook, Ciao Italia Family Classics.
