2 men critically injured in Boston bridge jump
BOSTON — Authorities say a Bedford, N.H, resident is one of two men critically injured after jumping from a bridge over the Mystic River in Boston.
A spokesman for the Suffolk County prosecutor says the men jumped from the Tobin Bridge’s upper deck shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
State troopers rescued a 35-year-old Revere man and a 31-year-old Bedford, N.H., man from the river. They’re listed in critical condition at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Prosecutor’s spokesman Jake Wark says a car belonging to a relative of the New Hampshire man was found at the scene. Wark says witness statements and a note left in the car suggest the men intended to commit suicide together, but the motive is still being investigated.
Authorities aren’t releasing the men’s names.
