For the 9,600-square-foot Shingle-Style house completed in 2012, interior designer Alice Williams specified all interiors finishes, including cabinetry, flooring, lighting, tile, bath fixtures, solid surfaces, hardware and paint colors. She also designed and sourced all furniture.

Judges said: “A very consistent stylistic attitude tied these rooms together. The double-height stair hall was very successful, avoiding the gratuitous result that these spaces can sometimes yield, and the color and detail there was spot on. The single-point perspective of the hall was a quiet, yet powerful moment as well.”
