Where to buy fresh seafood and lobster

“My rule of thumb is to purchase fish and seafood as close to home as possible,” says Mary Ann Esposito, who lives near the Seacoast. Among her favorite places to shop are Seaport Fish in Rye, which she says “has a wide selection and very knowledgeable staff”; Al’s Seafood in North Hampton and Sanders Fish Market in Portsmouth are good sources, too.

If you don’t live near the Seacoast, Esposito recommends buying fish from the source closest to you, like Canadian flounder, for example, instead of fish or seafood from farther away.
