A sixteen-foot 1946 Old Town canoe helped shape the style for the rest of this great room. A bold tangerine wall covering connects the dining room with the walls flanking the canoe. A large reclaimed wood table-turned island anchors the space.

Judges said: This invigorating interior space incorporates an imaginative use of a vintage canoe as a focal point, along with a clever use of railing elements as upper bands to define spaces. The 3D quality of the interior with accented lighting enhances this inviting, open, yet intimate cottage.
