Stuffed Dates with Parmigiano- Reggiano Cheese and Nuts
These dates stuffed with chips of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and nuts are perfect little bites for a wine-and-cheese party and can be put together in minutes. My husband, Guy Esposito, recommends serving a Prosecco wine with this recipe.
24 whole pitted dates
24 small chips of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, at room temperature
24 toasted walnut or pecan halves
1. With a small knife, make a slit down the center of each date. Stuff the cavity with a small piece of cheese and one walnut or pecan half.
2. Arrange the dates on a platter and serve.
